Estate Sale Business and Start Up Consulting from Lisa Kroese

Lisa Kroese runs a successful estate sale business that she started in 2011 after relocating to California from the East Coast. Her Estate Sale Start Up kit is available as a digital download on Etsy here, and she is now offering Estate Liquidation Business Consulting Services on Clarity.

There are an estimated 14,000 estate sale companies nationwide with many operating as mom and pop shops. Demand for estate liquidation services are high and the estate sale industry is booming. Lisa’s company, Expert Estates, is now grossing almost half million in annual sales. Her business model earns her between $50 and $450 per hour on her services. She plans to make it easier for those expanding or starting in the industry. One reviewer of Lisa’s Start Up kit said, “Despite the description given, this was more than I'd hoped for.”

Lisa Kroese explained, “I hear over and over from people who want to start an estate sale company. Often, they only see the end result - sale day - and don’t realize what is involved. At the end of 2014, I went on a consult for a sale. The potential client told me that they had a contract with another local company. Two weeks before they had to vacate their home, the other provider informed them that she had lost money on her last two sales and she was canceling. I knew the other provider had good intentions. They just do not have the best business plan or the right tools. This wasn’t the first client to call me after someone else backed out of a contract. I know what it takes to run a profitable and successful business, and I want to help other companies to plan their start up or expansion and to achieve their financial goals.”

The antique and estate sale industries can be intimidating and unwelcoming to “newbies” but even without experience, the right person can develop the required appraisal, marketing and business management skills to create a successful venture.

As a momprenuer, Lisa launched her lean start up home business when her first baby was just 4 months old, and she had landed her first client within weeks of her launch. Her success came in spite of having moved cross country and knowing nobody in her new area. Lisa Kroese can help those who are new, or those struggling to compete. Her services include help developing a strong liquidation business that will be able to survive and thrive in a fierce market. Her goal is to help other small business owners to launch and/or to getting on the road to success.
